Free educational materials are distributed through tobacco prevention specialists, a variety of health care personnel and interested agencies and their staffs.

On request, the clearinghouse can make a faxable materials order form available with a complete listing of our available items, and info. Also, a sample packet of information can be sent to you if you are interested in what is available for your particular needs.  There are restrictions of the quantity of materials that can be ordered at one time.

Our new coordinator there at the Library Commission is Melody Kelly and her e-mail is:  kelley@wvlc.lib.wv.us. You can also call the Library at 800-642-9021 Ext. 8.

TACS MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN WVU FANFEST

Teens Against Cigarettes and Snuff, The Huntington Housing Authority’s teen-led tobacco prevention chapter of RAZE, participated in the Fan Fest tailgate party at the WVU/East Carolina football game in Morgantown, WV on Saturday, September 24th.

The tailgate party for TACS members actually started at 8 PM the night before.  Tim White, TACS/RAZE coordinator, and his wife Dreama, hosted the eleven member team at a pizza party-sleepover at their house.

Not only was the group treated to pizza and drinks but also several members of the group presented a concert during the showing of the movie, “Fighting Temptations”, which was worth the price of admission.

The team rose at 4 AM to board the van and headed to Morgantown.  The team hosted a RAZE booth where fans got the chance to win a free RAZE/WVU Fan fest t-shirt by throwing a football at various targets.

Once the game started the team was presented with free tickets to the game and sat on row 10 on the 50 yard line.

Throughout the game, WVU played several RAZE commercials on the big screen scoreboard and also posted a RAZE banner in the scoreboard.

The team did an awesome job and were complemented by RAZE staff, WVU staff and fans who attended the event.  After the game, the team loaded up for the long ride home.

HHA is very proud of these teens and their commitment to tobacco prevention/education efforts throughout our region.

Great job guys, keep up the good work.
