Yes!  You can quit…

Congratulations on taking an important step to improve your health.  Eight out of ten smokers want to quit smoking.  Have you had a hard time trying to quit on your own?  If so, you can join the American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking group program.

These are group sessions led by experts who understand how hard it is to kick the addiction and habit.  You will receive the kind of support and skills you need to quit smoking for good.  No two smokers are alike, so we begin by assessing how ready you are to quit.  Then, we look at what feelings and environments trigger your urge to light up.  We then develop a quitting plan that will work best for you.

When you quit at session three, we will give you plenty of help to stay off of cigarettes forever.  We discuss symptoms of recovery, controlling weight gain, managing stress, and resisting the urge to smoke.

For most smokers, especially those who have previously tried to quit, group support can make a real difference in helping you stay smoke free.

To learn more about the program, or to talk about quitting, please contact Kelli Caseman at 1.800.LUNG.USA or 304.342.6600.
